Choose your stage
Every rental is self-service, so you set the lights, backdrops and props the way you want them. Photo shoot assistance is available starting at $40, and backdrop roll change assistance is $10 per roll.

Both stages for groups of more than 10, up to 30 people, with full control of music and house lighting.

Simple from start to finish
How booking works
Pick a time
Choose Stage 1, Stage 2 or the Christmas Set, then the date and length you need. Payment is taken when you book.
Agree to the terms
The booking form walks you through my Rental Terms, so everyone knows what to expect.
Arrive on time
Walk in at your scheduled start time. Your rental time includes setup, styling and cleanup.
Wrap up and head out
Plan to finish shooting 5 to 10 minutes early (more for bigger setups) so you can put lights and props away, roll up the backdrop paper, wrap up with your clients, take payment, talk next steps, and walk out by your scheduled end time.
Good to know
Rental policy highlights
- No early entry and no grace period. Time past your booking is billed at $40 per 30 minutes, so set a timer about 10 minutes before you end.
- Up to 10 people per stage, photographers included. Bigger groups book the whole studio.
- Stay 12 inches back from the cyc wall curve. No standing or leaning on it.
- Leave the studio the way you found it. Cleaning or damage fees may apply.
- Reschedule at least 72 hours before your start time through your confirmation email. Inside 72 hours, your booking is locked in and can’t be rescheduled.
- Park in the 3 spots marked J. Mikael Studios on the side of the building, or in the back.
